They had never heard anyone answer Vanessa like that.
But the stranger remained completely calm.
Vanessa narrowed her eyes.
—I’m still hungry. Give it to me. You’ll survive a day without food.
-No.
The response was firm and calm.
Fearless.

As if the most dangerous woman in the entire prison wasn’t standing right in front of her.
For a few moments the dining room was in absolute silence.
Many understood that it would end very badly.
Vanessa’s face changed completely.
She was used to everyone obeying a single order.
I had never received such a direct refusal.
The next second he grabbed the metal tray and ripped it off in one swift motion.
The rice, meat, and vegetables were thrown out and scattered on the ground.
A murmur rippled through the dining room. Vanessa smiled contemptuously as she stared at the young woman.
—Do you even know who I am?
The newcomer did not respond.
—Get on your knees right now. You’re going to pay for your insolence.
But the girl didn’t even move.
She remained seated, observing her with a calmness that was disconcerting.
That attitude finally made Vanessa explode.
Without saying another word, he grabbed her shoulder tightly and tried to pull her off the bench.
Several inmates looked away, convinced that in a matter of seconds the new girl would be on the floor begging for mercy.
What Vanessa didn’t know was that she had just made the worst mistake of her entire time in prison.
Because that mysterious tattooed woman was not who everyone thought she was.
And in just a few seconds, the entire dining room would discover the true identity of the newcomer… 😱😮
After hearing those words, Vanessa remained motionless for a few seconds, unable to believe what she had just heard.
No one had ever dared to answer him in that way.
She felt anger beginning to consume her from within.
For years she had maintained control of the prison by sowing fear among the other inmates.
If she allowed a newcomer to challenge her without receiving any punishment, before the day was out the whole prison would be talking about it.
And that was something I wasn’t going to allow.
“I’ll tell you one more time… kneel down,” he said through gritted teeth, his voice thick with rage.
The young woman remained silent.
