"Lions of Fifth Avenue" by Fiona Davis. What a gift to read such a beautifully written book by a new to me author! I look forward to many more hours of reading her work. The writing, the story, all will stay with me. As an aside, I was so touched by the suggestion for all women to "own at least 4 bed jackets, one of quilted silk and another in velvet". My mother and I always had bed jackets in the 50s and 60s and wore them as we were reading in bed. Hadn't thought of that in years and it will stay with me now for a long time.
