[Short Story] The Last Flight – She changed her identity to escape. He was sent to capture her, but ended up breaking every rul

The international terminal at JFK Airport was a sea of rushing faces, but to Julian Vance, an elite private security recovery agent, only one face mattered. He stood near Gate 14, his eyes locked on a woman with dark sunglasses and a red trench coat.
Her passport said "Sarah Miller." But Julian knew her real name was Clara Cross—a brilliant software engineer who had gone into hiding after accidentally witnessing a high-level corporate crime. Julian’s mission was simple: apprehend her before she boarded the flight to London and hand her over to his employers.
But as he closed the distance and gently gripped her elbow, Clara turned. When her terrified brown eyes met his, Julian’s professional coldness shattered. There was an instant, overwhelming spark of attraction between them, a sudden cosmic pull that made his heart race.
"Please," she whispered, her voice trembling but fierce. "If you hand me over to them, I won’t survive the night."
Before Julian could answer, the heavy glass doors of the terminal shattered. Three armed men in black tactical gear burst into the airport, firing warning shots into the ceiling. The crowd screamed, scattering in pure panic. Julian realized instantly: his employers hadn't just sent him. They sent a clean-up crew to eliminate them both.
