"What Remains" by Carole Radziwill. We all know the story, the public part of the story. This very well written book takes us inside a tragic, tragic part of the family's history. All of a sudden the book showed up on a couple of posts and I picked it up and then could not put it down.

During that time, Anthony's best friend and cousin *John F. Kennedy Jr.* and his wife *Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy* become Carole's closest friends. The four of them spend summers together in Martha's Vineyard. Carolyn and Carole are best friends.

*2. Her best friends die in a plane crash.*

On *July 16, 1999* - just three weeks before Anthony dies from cancer - JFK Jr., Carolyn, and Carolyn's sister Lauren Bessette die in a plane crash off the coast of Martha's Vineyard.
