"When Lemons Give You Life" by Anna Johnston. Took me 3 tries and then I connected and couldn't put it own. I had no idea what to expect, hadn't read this author before. A family with so many words left unsaid and misunderstood. Then it all comes together and makes sense. Some crying and some joy but I really wound up loving the book and look forward to reading her other.

But Griff is hiding a huge lie - a lie that made headlines when he got his dementia diagnosis - and it could destroy the only good thing he has left.

*His sister Lisa:*

Griff's younger sister *Lisa* is his only visitor, even though they had a terrible fight years ago and are estranged. She keeps showing up.

Lisa has her own problems:
- She just got diagnosed with *ADHD in midlife*
- She has a new romance starting with a musician named Frank
- And she gets scary health news that could change everything

Their relationship is broken and full of silence, but they both need to learn to forgive.

*The Theme:*

The book is described as _Ratatouille meets A Man Called Ove_.

It's a heartfelt, funny, and moving story about:
- Food as love and memory
- Sibling reconciliation and second chances
- How people with dementia are dismissed and treated as invisible - Anna Johnston worked in aged care herself, so she writes from inside Griff's perspective
- Choosing life even when life gives you all the lemons
